Mi gordita

Ellie started on cereal this week. She LOVES it. She sees a spoon and her mouth opens. She also had her 6 month appointment yesterday (a few days early). She weighed in at 18 lbs 13 oz which puts her at 90-95th percentile. She is still my little chunk. Everything looked healthy.

While in Louisville for Thanksgiving, Katelyn helped Grandma put up her tree. We are looking forward to Christmas this year as she will understand better what is going on.

Growing so fast!

Ellie is one of the most easy-going, happy babies I have seen. Of course, I am biased. She seems to know that I need a peaceful child to go along with my independent, spirited one.

I can't believe Ellie is five months old. She is getting so big, so fast.

Halloween

We took the girls trick or treating and they had a wonderful time. We went with some of our neighbors. It was a great opportunity to hang out with neighbors we knew and to meet new neighbors. Katelyn quickly got the hang of trick or treating, and by the end, was asking for more as she walked down the driveways. She now wakes up in the mornings asking for treats. Katelyn was a Grace Princess and Ellie was a bunny.

Ellie's baptism

Ellie was baptized on Saturday. When Father Terry poured the water over her head, she closed her eyes as though she were at peace.

At the CPA football game

The whole family went to the CPA football game Friday night. Katelyn especially loves to run around and have us chase her. She enjoyed watching the cheerleaders and the band. The second picture is of her and Abby. It makes me wonder what they are going to be into when they are teeneagers.

Fun with lipstick

While packing for my weekend in Louisville, I let Katelyn out of my sight for five minutes. When things got a little too quiet, this is what I found in the living room. Katelyn painted herself head to toe in lipstick. She also decided to paint Ellie's toes too.

Making cookies

Katelyn made her first cookies today--sugar cookies in the shapes of stars, hearts and flowers. She had a great time and made a wonderful mess.

Swearing In

Katelyn and Ellie got to see their daddy get re-sworn in today at Juvenile court. Katelyn stole the show, calling out "Daddy" at the end and then pranced down the aisle to find her daddy. Luckily, the ceremony was almost over when she made her debut.

Big Sister/Little Sister

Katelyn loves to play with Ellie. She hugs and kisses her often, if not a little too much. Ellie is such an easy-going baby--always smiling and gurgling.
