Swimming Superstars

I was able to put my mom hat on Tuesday and take off work to take the girls to their swim meet. For those who have never been a part of kid swim meets, it is a lot of fun and interesting, organized chaos. There are tents put up and little swimmers running around everywhere with caps and goggles on their heads. It kind of reminds me of an ant colony.

The girls rocked the pool. They won nine of nine events. Katelyn was exceptionally proud and even called to tell her aunt Sherry. The next morning she woke up asking to read the paper. It took me a minute to realize why. Unfortunately, her star-studded performance did not warrant an entry in the sports pages, but we are proud of her nonetheless--both of them.

 Lots of card playing happens between events.
