Spring Break and Easter

We spent a week in Amelia Island with the Calhoun/Barger clan. The girls loved following around their cousins and received lots of love. They had an Easter Egg Hunt out in the common area. We also had family photos made by a friend of Marilyn's. We hope they turn out well.

Weekend at Grandma's

We went up to Louisville last weekend and woke up with 8-10 inches of snow. This kids didn't really know what to do with it. They also went on an Easter Egg hunt and were spoiled by their aunts and cousins.

Look what we woke up to

Not a lot of snow, but white just the same. Of course, school was canceled for me and the kids so we are currently spending the day together. The girls got up bright and early and went outside to play. We searched high and low for Ellie's snow suit, but couldn't find it. Here are a couple of photos of them playing. Of course, two hours later and I have located the elusive snow suit. So we must hope for more snow so Ellie can show it off with her snow boots (also MIA).

To the dentist today

Both girls went to the dentist today and I am happy to report are cavity free. Katelyn did awesome. She jumped right up in the chair and asked a zillion questions. She was an excellent patient. Ellie was a little less willing, hence I was not able to get photos of her.

Look at my new hair cut

The girls got cuts yesterday. Katelyn's was more of a small trim, but Ellie's was a bit more. She got lots of compliments at daycare and was very proud of it. The first picture is before. The second is of her showing off her hair and her belly. The third is just one of her funny faces.

Katelyn on the climbing wall

I took this one with my phone so it is not that good. She went to a party yesterday that had a climbing wall. I am hoping a friend will email the ones she took which are much better. My little Katelyn is fearless.

A visit from the relatives

Here a couple of pictures from the Bibelhauser visit last month. They are not as up to date as my anonymous emailer would like, but it is what I have. However, both girls got their trimmed today, so I should have photos to post soon. I have to get a post picture of Ellie. She was starting to look like Cousin It with all that hair in her eyes.

Christmas Break 2007

We had a wonderful time. We hit Louisville to visit my family and then went to West Palm Beach to have some fun and relaxation. We met up with Alan's mom and Kit. It was a balmy 80 degrees and we loved it. We came back to a chilly 16 degrees, ugghh. I got a new camera for Christmas and went a little crazy (192 photos in a week and a half) I am trying to post a link to all my pictures, but am having difficulties. Here are two from Christmas though. I'll continue trying.

Katelyn's Hanukah Program

Katelyn performed two songs at school for their Latke Dinner (fried potatoes). Here is the dreidle that she made to wear. Sorry I have been such a slacker on posting pics. My lovely cherubs don't seem to want to pose much and my camera is on the fritz. I'll try to do better. Can't wait to see everybody over the Christmas Holidays. We put up our tree two weeks ago (see Ellie's photo). The kids loved it. Some of the ornaments . . . not so much.

Wedding

We went to Louisville for a wedding last weekend. The girls had a blast dancing and Katelyn made a new friend "Kim"

Here is a link to more pictures. Unfortunately, we are sometime more consumed by our kids than the bride/groom, so my apologies for the lack of pictures of the wedding

A diva is born

A teacher was going to throw away these perfectly good beads. Go figure.

Halloween with the kiddies.

The kids had a great time carving pumpkins and trick or treating. Katelyn was a cat. We were a bit concerned because she woke up Halloween morning wanting to be a princess, but luckily, the cat prevailed. She also enjoyed carving the pumpkin and scooping out the goop this week. Ellie only made it to a few houses and was sidetracked by trying to eat all her candy, so she went back home and helped daddy hand out candy. Overall, the night was a success.

Gentry Farm

Katelyn and Ellie took their grandparents to the farm this weekend to enjoy the fall/Halloween festivities. They rode the hayride and went through a barn maze. Katelyn also got to see her friend Cameron from school.

We've been boo'd!

Some lovey little cat Boo'd us this weekend, sending treats galore to my little cherubs. Thanks so much Secret Booer. :D

Sleeping with Daddy

I had to take this picture. They both looked so sweet tonight.

The fun I got to come home to on Thursday

Aunt Sherry picked up the girls on Thursday. When I came into the playroom, this is what I saw . . . Katelyn has always loved to dress up, but this was the first time for Ellie. She even walked around in the heels fat rolls and all.

Katelyn firsts

Katelyn went canoeing for the first time last month. My friend, Kay, just sent me this picture. Katelyn loved the water, but would have preferred to float down the river rather than be in the boat. We also bought her her first bike with training wheels. It took a couple of days for her to get the hang of it (how not to peddle backwards with the breaks), but now she just zooms everywhere. She has taken a couple of tumbles, but is decked out with all her protective gear.

The last photo is of Ellie, just because she is the cutest.

And one of Ellie just because she's cute

Body Art

Katelyn loves to draw and paint. However, her favorite medium is the body. This weekend she got ahold of Ellie who squealed with delight as Katelyn painted her. And then there was the clean up . . .
